What a successful night of learning!!! Nearly 40 women came to our Rosh Chodesh learning on Monday night and enjoyed listening to renowned speaker Simi Yellen discuss ways to help bring positivity and light to a busy Mother's day and thus creating a better home for her spouse and children.

Many thanks to the Women's event board ***, Jessica ***, Mehrnoush Yasharpour and Nahal Rayn for their hard work to make the event the success that it was! And special thanks to Rebbetzin Yisraeli for her commitment to making Westwood a place of Torah and Family values.

The following is notes taken from The lecture:

"Creating the most happy home"

*Greatest way = control the way a mother speaks to HERSELF, internal conversations, dialogue, and thoughts.
*Our thoughts are where it all begins

*The power of thought=ability to control nature

*Transforming feelings from negative to POSITVE

*Our minds never shut off, were talking to ourselves all day long, how do we process whats going on?

* Say NO to negative energy
*Hakarat ha Tov= seeing the good, always trying to see the good

*Being negative is something that happens a lot, balance it out with more positive than negative

*Dont forget your negative energy is felt through your body language, facial expression, and emotions

*Be happy for every moment you have to be able to do anything you do, even its a mundane task

*Everything HaShem does is for the best.

*Bittachon= true trust in HaShem. Apply it to your daily life, believe it.

*Its all just a test, how will you hold up?

*Embrace your challenges, push your limit. I can DO IT, bring it ON!

*Be mindful of how you talk to yourself.
