Westwood Bet Knesset’s “IMA and ME”
continued it’s weekly session on Wednesday morning with Rebbetzin Shira and mommies
Davening & learning Torah Songs with instrumental music including piano and guitar. Freshly made and nutritious peach & mango smoothies were enjoyed by mommies and babies alike! Mommies also enjoyed sharing parenting advice, learning and discussions circle including the importance of incorporating music into our children’s world.
The following are some tidbits learned during this weeks session:
“Music is holy. highest levels of spiritual expression and achievement can be reached through music”
“According to the Villna Gaon, Music is the language of the soul. And newborn mind is not developed yet but his neshama comes from high so he does understand the language of music. That is why he gets calm down only through music”
“Pure music can bring us close to HaShem while inappropriate music can have the opposite effect”
IMA and ME classes are held every Wednesday morning at 9:30am. All children aged 6 months to 2 years are welcome to join us!!! Please contact Rebetzin Shira Yisraeli at (310) 460-9900 for more details!
